Add Members to Groups

Add cohorts of your list to groups for tracking, segmenting, and broadcasting

How can I add members to groups?

You can add members to new or existing groups directly via the Members list. Alternatively, you can add members to non-dynamic groups via a CSV import or via Automations.

Where can I access my Group data?

Group data per member is displayed in the Members table of the Members page.

To see all of your groups and group meta data, head over to the Groups page. This includes a list of all active and archived groups.

What are simple groups?

Simple groups are cohorts of Members used for tracking, filtering, and targeting. Simple groups can be used as a Broadcast audience or in your Flows and Automations.

What are Access groups?

Access Groups grant permission for users to view cohorts of Member conversations in the Inbox. Access Groups are not visible in the Inbox to organizers.

What does it mean if a group is 'dynamic'?

Groups can be set to dynamically refresh the results of filter(s) used. A dynamic group will automatically refresh your filter results each night and before a broadcast to the group. Use dynamic groups for tracking, filtering, and as an audience for a broadcast.

Dynamic groups can only be updated using the group's filter conditions. Dynamic groups cannot be created via CSV import or API. Users, flows, CSV imports, automations, the API, and webhooks cannot add members to a dynamic group.

Both simple groups and access groups can be set to dynamically add/remove members based on your filter conditions.

Note: Dynamic groups cannot be created using other dynamic groups in your filter conditions.

During a refresh, members will be added that meet your filter criteria or removed if they no longer meet your filter criteria.

To see when a group was last refreshed or to manually refresh a group:

  1. Go the the Groups page
  2. Click details next to the dynamic group you'd like to refresh
  3. Click Refresh
Note: You can refresh a dynamic group once every 4 hours.

To see group meta data and change logs, go to the Groups page and click details next to the group.
